In Q4 2021, the top five consumer finance apps on iOS in Mexico exhibited notable trends in downloads and active user numbers, according to data from Sensor Tower. Here’s a closer look at their performance:

BBVA México maintained a consistent presence with weekly downloads fluctuating between 29.5K and 35.4K. Weekly active users showed an upward trend, starting from approximately 975K at the beginning of October and reaching around 1.12M by mid-December, before slightly dipping to 1.04M at the end of the year.

Banco Azteca also saw significant activity. Weekly downloads varied significantly, peaking at 37.7K in early November. Active user numbers remained steady, ranging from approximately 303K to 359K throughout the quarter.

Nubank: Conta, Cartão e mais experienced a steady increase in weekly active users, climbing from around 88K at the start of October to nearly 149K by the end of December. Weekly downloads remained relatively stable, ranging from 10.1K to 18.5K.

Citibanamex Móvil showed consistent weekly downloads, with figures fluctuating between 11.8K and 15.9K. The app’s active user base grew from approximately 574K in early October to around 649K by late November, ending the quarter at about 606K.

Santander SuperMóvil saw its weekly downloads hover between 10.7K and 13.5K. The app’s active user count showed a notable increase, rising from around 519K in early October to a peak of 624K at the end of November, before ending the quarter at approximately 549K.
